30 December 2011

The Murfreesboro Housing Authority operates four projects in that small middle Tennessee city. As with many such developments, drugs and crime began to creep in and disturb the peace. In 1995 the MHA formed a partnership with the Murfreesboro Police to begin to take back the neighborhood. The police first suggested using surveillance cameras to help fight crimes, and to provide evidence. Moog Videolarm's bullet-resistant camera was chosen and the system has been a rousing success. "Your cameras have made all the difference!" Pat Noland, Executive Director In the early 1990's Franklin Heights residents were subjected to violent crime and out-in-the-open drug sales. Moog Videolarm's first bullet-resistant camera, the BMF27, was installed at the complex in 1996. The camera has been a critical component in making the Franklin Heights safe again.
